Early Life and Career

Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal, better known as Shaq, was born on March 6, 1972, in Newark, New Jersey. He played college basketball for Louisiana State University (LSU), where he was named a three-time consensus All-American and led the Tigers to a national championship in 1993. Shaq was selected first overall by the Orlando Magic in the 1992 NBA draft.

NBA Dominance

Shaquille O'Neal was one of the most physically imposing and dominant players in NBA history. Standing at 7'1" and weighing over 300 pounds, he was a force inside the paint. Shaq won four NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers, and he was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player three times. He also led the Miami Heat to a title in 2006.

Throughout his career, Shaq averaged 23.7 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. He was named to 15 All-NBA Teams, 14 All-Star Teams, and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.

Post-NBA Career

After retiring from the NBA, Shaq has remained involved in basketball as an analyst for TNT and Inside the NBA. He is also an entrepreneur and has several business ventures, including his own shoe line and a restaurant chain. Shaq has also appeared in several movies and television shows.
