Maresca signs five-year deal with option of one more year
The former Leicester City manager will take over on 1 July 2024
Enzo Maresca has been appointed as Chelsea's new head coach on a five-year contract with an option of one more year, the club has announced.
The Italian will join the Blues on 1 July 2024 after leading Leicester City to promotion to the Premier League in the 2023/24 season.
Maresca has a wealth of experience in coaching, having previously worked as an assistant to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
He also had a successful spell as manager of Sevilla, winning the UEFA Europa League in 2014.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia said: "We are delighted to welcome Enzo to Chelsea. He is a highly talented and experienced coach who has a proven track record of success.
"We believe that he is the right person to lead our club forward and to achieve our ambitions."
