The SORKC Model: A Powerful Tool for Behavior Analysis
Understanding the Antecedents, Consequences, and Cognitive Mediators of Behavior
An Introduction to SORKC
The SORKC model, also known as the SORCK model, SORK model, or SORC model, is an extension of operant conditioning that provides a comprehensive framework for analyzing the factors that influence behavior. Developed by Frederick H. Kanfer and Gabriel Saslow in 1969, the SORKC model examines the dynamic interplay between stimuli, responses, consequences, and cognitive mediators in determining our actions.
