Howie Schwab, a longtime ESPN producer, statistician, and the star of the network's popular trivia game show "Stump the Schwab," has passed away at the age of 63. The network announced his passing on Saturday, April 20th.

Schwab joined ESPN in 1993 and quickly became a respected figure within the network. His encyclopedic knowledge of sports trivia and his witty personality made him an ideal host for "Stump the Schwab," which ran from 2004 to 2008.

In a statement, ESPN President Jimmy Pitaro expressed his condolences and praised Schwab's contributions to the network.
